Words of Wisdom

When you are in the lower level of your home and you call upstairs to check on the two toddlers (ages 3 and 2) by asking "what are you doing, boys??" and they respond with "hiding from you..."
Always check it out.
Always.
Trust me.
Unless you were playing hide-and-seek.
(We weren't.)
Just check it out.
Every time.

  2. To bring you "up to speed", a couple weeks ago Christopher cut up a skein of yarn. Very frustrating, because in order to crochet, it's rather important that the yarn be long--not in little bitty pieces. He promised not to do that "ever adain".
    Until yesterday.
I am working on crocheting a blanket and he cut the blanket away from the skein and then pulled out a bunch more yarn from the skein and cut that into little pieces.
They were "hiding" in plain sight in their room (I'm quite sure Elijah was the innocent by-stander). Christopher said "I'm sorry about yours yarn...I din't mean to...I'm sorry about yours yarn Mommy..." I thought for sure he had cut up the whole blanket, but he hadn't. Just frustrating that he got into my stuff again.
Is nothing sacred??? Sometimes I just want to yell "MINE!" like they do...
Oh, and him saying he "din't mean to"...How can you not mean to cut up something into a hundred pieces??? Seriously!!
